Oriental doctor Choi Won (Lee Dong-Wook), who works for the royal family, becomes involved with the plot to poision King Injong and is now a fugitive. He tries to save his daughter who has an incurable disease. Choi Won has raised his daughter alone since his wife passed away.

This drama is about a fugitive of the Joseon Dynasty period 1544, Joseon Dynasty era.One night, the prince's doctor is found dead.Choi Won, a doctor is framed for murder, but he manages to avoid capture. 

But he won't get away that easily. There are forces at work against the wrongfully accused doctor.An assassin is hired to track down and get rid of Choi Won.Choi Won must elude his captors.A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues in the process.Also, a deadly conspiracy involving a plot to poison the prince is slowly unveiled. It is the story of a father cannot afford to die, because he must ensure the safety of his child. 

Choi Won escapes imminent capture and death in dramatic fashion.He continues to run from captors and clearly he is driven by something incredible to stay alive and be free. For 10 years, endless rape and murder cases have left the Hwagok-ri into ruins. Recently for two years, no crimes occurred and the villagers and the police think they have finally found peace. One day, two college girls who visit the village get raped and murdered, and the village is yet again in turmoil. Soon after, Kang the ghost hunter arrives in the village. He claims that the crimes were committed not a human but by a demon. However, the police simply treat him like a mad man. Kang has constant trouble with the police and he doesn't have the power to win the battle against the demon all by himself. A daughter of an exorcist who hopes to put an end to her inherent curse comes forth to join the hunt. Using the one and only ghost detector, the two begin the journey to unravel the mystery.
